Good Stewards is proud to provide Rockingham County's first Particulate Matter sensor by partnering with Clean Air Carolina. Real-time temperature, humidity and air quality readings are available through our 100% solar powered air quality sensor located at our office in Stoneville, NC.
Particulate matter (PM) is the sum of all solid and liquid particles suspended in air, many of which can be hazardous. This complex mixture includes both organic and inorganic particles such as dust, pollen, soot, smoke, and liquid droplets. By monitoring the concentration of PM in our environment we may catalog historical data and identify when new or potentially hazardous sources are present and work toward mitigating those issues.
If your area is not on the map and you would like to participate in the program, please contact Steven@DanRiverkeeper.org for help! We will also provide free information and guidance on how to replicate our solar generator for you sensor as well.
